We will hear the story of Sergeant Major Mor Shakuri who was murdered on the roof of the police station by a Hamas terrorist sniper and of the survival of the young Suissa sisters after their parents were gunned down by the terrorists.
Observatory of the Northern edge of the Gaza Strip
Kobe's Hill: is a strategic observatory on a hilltop that provides a panoramic view from the Mediterranean Sea to Ashkelon, the Erez Crossing and North Gaza (Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia, Jabalia). The hill serves as a powerful vantage point for understanding the complex border dynamics.
Burnt Car Lot Memorial
A memorial of of over 800 burnt, bullet-riddled, or crushed vehicles evacuated from the Nova Massacre and “Blood route 232”. Through the ruins of the vehicles, we learn about those murdered and taken hostage. One of the vehicles bears testament to the heroism of Ben Shimoni Z”l. who escaped the Nova party driving 4 others to safety. He returned twice to save more and was murdered during the third rescue attempt.
Ktav VaShem Memorial, Kfar Aza
The memorial stands at the entrance to Kfar Aza, one of the communities hardest hit on October 7. At least 64 residents were murdered, and several were taken hostage as terrorists infiltrated the kibbutz for hours. The Ktav VaShem site preserves the names - in font letters identical to their handwriting- of those who lived and died here, offering visitors a factual, respectful window into the community’s loss and extraordinary resilience
Observers’ Lookout Nahal Oz
The lookout commemorates the female IDF observers of Nahal Oz, whose outpost was among the first attacked on October 7. Twelve soldiers from the Observation Company were killed, and the attack exposed severe operational failures. Despite repeated warnings from observers, critical intelligence regarding the infiltration of Hamas terrorists was dismissed, and the post was left insufficiently defended, as were the Gaza Envelope communities. Standing here gives visitors a clear understanding of the strategic role of the observers and the tragic outcome of that morning,
Nova Memorial
We will visit and bear witness to the sacred ground of remembrance of the young lives filled with hope and music at the Nova festival who were brutally murdered in the largest and most horrific terror attack in Israel’s history. The memorial commemorates each of the of the murdered souls and provides an orientation of what happened on this tragic day.
The Death Shelter in Re’im
This shelter, where 27 people sought refuge became the scene of unimaginable bravery and tragedy. Here, Aner Shapira Z”l who bravely intercepted 7 hand grenades and was murdered when the terrorists fired an RPG into the shelter. Segev Kizhner and Ayelet Arnin who recorded the events as they documented their final moments. 16 were murdered and from here, Hersh Goldberg-Polin Z’l, Alon Ohel, Eliyah Cohen Ori Levi were kidnapped
Route 232
Route 232 became one of the central corridors of tragedy on October 7. Along this road, hundreds of civilians fleeing the Nova festival and nearby communities were ambushed, with hundreds of people murdered and dozens abducted as they attempted to escape northward. Today, driving the route provides a stark, unfiltered understanding of the scale of the attack and the immense human toll that unfolded over just a few kilometers.
"Garden of the 20" at Moshav Netiv Ha’asarah
Moshav Netiv Ha'asara is on Northern tip of the Gaza border. We will learn about the challenges on the Moshav since the disengagement of the IDF in 2005 and witnessing how close the divider wall is between the Moshav and the Gaza Strip. We will visit the memorial of 20 olive trees planted to commemorate the murdered situated under the largest flag post in Israel
